Julius John is a DMV-based cinematographer, director, and filmmaker known for crafting bold, cinematic visuals with a disciplined, story-first approach. With over two decades of hands-on production experience, his work emphasizes and infuse big budget Hollywood style controlled lighting, intentional camera movement, and visual continuity designed to elevate performance and narrative impact. His numerus commercials work has been aired on HBO, National Geographic and BBC since 2004.
Julius has built his career working across narrative films, action-driven projects, and independent features, developing a reputation for making productions look polished and expensive regardless of budget scale. His visual style blends grit and precision—grounded realism paired with cinematic framing that translates powerfully across theatrical, VOD, and streaming platforms.
His recent credits include work on features like Annihilator Unleashed (2025), The 30 Days (2025), Agent Jayne: A Woman with a Mission (2024), and Multi Award winning shorts like The Chess Match (2021), Kismet (2021), Regret (2021) projects that reflect his focus on action-forward storytelling, clean composition, and immersive tone. In addition to cinematography and directing, Julius is member of AES (Audio Engineering society) since 2013 and brings deep experience in audio production and post-production, allowing him to support projects beyond the camera and ensure cohesion from capture through final delivery.
Julius is the owner of Black Eagle Films, and a Master Certified in Digital Imaging by Sony USA. He continues developing original narrative projects while collaborating with filmmakers, producers, and brands seeking cinematic visuals with professional execution.
